Lazarus Bringing Back Fun Anime on Adult Swim & Gashapon Pin

Lazarus premieres 4/5 @ midnight on Toonami on Adult Swim, next day on Max. From the creator of Cowboy Bebop, Shinichirō Watanabe.

Game Hype: Anna Williams Arriving, to a T, Sayonara Wild Hearts & Skin Deep

Just love Tekken 8 keeps going fun and crazy with rollout of characters. Meet Anna Williams, she's nuts.

to a T has a release date of May 28th. A hard name to sell from Annapurna Interactive and the creator of Katamari Damacy, Keita Takahashi. You follow the character of "teen" stuck in a T pose on their day-to-day adventures. Can't wait to just fall in love with the adorable look of the game.

*BTW, that giraffe is Rebecca Sugar, creator of Steven Universe

*to a T, Kata -mari Dama-cy, sounding a bit similar when you say them close to each other, or at least good for a rap verse down hte line.

Two more from Annapurna. Talking about music we have the PS5 version of Sayonara Wild Hearts, improved in every way and no loading times coming out. We loved it on Switch, so it's nice to see it resurface on other consoles. Below we have Skin Deep. A cat filled, first person shooter, out in April.

Oh, The Monkey Marketing

Gotta give this to the marketing team, that was bananas. Here's hoping most people got it was for a movie and didn't call emergency services.

We're So Close To The Oscars, Hope You Moved Your Car!

Just some great fan art for the top nominees and a reminder that driving/parking (street closures) anywhere near Hollywood and Highland this weekend would be a big mistake.

Game Hype: Hades 2: Warsong Update, Samurai Pizza Cats: Blast From the Past, Dreams of Another, Metal Eden, Split Fiction & Darwin's Paradox!

Here's everything from the update, but do look at guides online on how to find it all, it can be tricky. And, once again this is a game still in Beta, it's not finished, you can wait until the game is actually finished to play.

We loved Hades I, so we're okay seeing Hades II slowly get built out.

Samurai Pizza Cats: Blast From the Past looks pretty much like a total pay-off  for fans missing nay sort of comeback from the crazy cartoon show.

Just a look at all the titles that caught are eye from PlayStation's State of Play.

It’s 2007 in Pfresno, Texas. Raphael is in county jail following an arrest for graffiti. He’s a good kid. It’s just graffiti. So you can’t blame Raphael for the events that unfold after his arrest. He’s not responsible for the sting operation, the suicide, Pflophouse’s new mix-tape, Officer Williams and her delusional suspicions, the meth pipes, the FBI, the rich kids with nothing to lose, Mateo, Larry the pig, all the knives, the local aspiring TV newswoman, the plutonium deal gone wrong, or anyone who may or may not die due to that deal turning sour.

Rats! filmmakers Carl Fry and Maxwell Nalevansky will participate in a Q&A after the February 26 screening at the Royal. Doug Benson will moderate.

GOOD TIMES – no smartphones, no endless notifications, just face to face connections. You didn’t have to scroll to find joy – you could find it in a new arcade game or the latest cassette from your favorite band. Life felt simpler, slower & somehow brighter. Those were good times – when the world seemed a little bigger, & so did the dreams.

2025 Oscar Ballot By Sam Speedy

This is another nice ballot from Sam Speedy, she's made quite a few, year after year, that you can print out and use at your Oscar Parties later this week.

Hollywood Street Closures for 2025 Oscars

Oh, it's that time of year again, where you best move your car or get it towed. Remember the city is just awful with fast and speedy tows if you park your car anywhere near the Oscars! Fox 11 has a good break down of how much the streets are taken over as the Oscars gets closer.

From press release:

"To ensure public safety, support security strategies and facilitate the production of this year’s Oscars®, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and the City of Los Angeles have finalized street closure plans around the Dolby® Theatre at Ovation Hollywood.

To accommodate the construction of press risers and pre-show stages along the Oscars red carpet, all lanes of Hollywood Boulevard are closed from Orange Drive to Highland Avenue from 12:01 a.m. on Thursday, February 20, until 6 a.m. on Wednesday, March 5, 2025.

MTA will begin re-routing bus traffic and subway trains will bypass the Ovation Hollywood station after the last regularly scheduled train on Saturday, March 1, until the first scheduled train after 6 a.m. on Monday, March 3.

Between Sunday, February 16, and Oscars Sunday, March 2, additional streets and sidewalks will be closed for varying periods.

Details of the closures and maps of affected areas are available from the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and the Thirteenth District City Council field offices and on the Academy’s website at https://www.oscars.org/closures."

The Monkey More Post

Game Hype: Keep Driving, He is Coming, Onimusha 2, Onimusha: Way of the Sword & Shinobi: Art of Vengeance

Keep Driving
AVAILABLE NOW on Steam:

Didn't love the demo, but can't deny the great look of it.

"It’s the early 2000s, and you’ve just bought your first car. A long, slow summer lies ahead. Hearing about a festival on the other side of the country, you fire up your engine, plot a course on your map, and hit the road. How, if you get there at all, is up to you.

Keep Driving is a management RPG about slowly making your way through a procedurally generated pixel art open world. Pick up hitchhikers with their own personalities and stories; upgrade, customize and repair your car. Solve challenges on the road using a unique turn-based ‘combat’ system, using your own skills and whatever’s lying around in the glovebox to make it through."

He is Coming

A roguelite RPG auto battler game where you explore a procedurally generated fantasy kingdom, collect magical trinkets, and prepare for the arrival of The Big Bad. The He is Coming trailer shows gameplay and the dangers you'll face in a retro-styled world. He is Coming will be available in PC Early Access via Steam in 2025.

Setting out with nothing more than a pointy stick and a death wish, players won’t have long to prepare before trouble arrives – every three days, players will need to face off against one of 30 powerful boss monsters on the hunt for unsuspecting heroes. Each has its own strengths and weaknesses, and players who manage a run smartly will be able to craft a build specifically to defeat each incoming boss in turn before facing off against the Demon King in the final encounter.

Onimusha 2: Samurai's Destiny ■ Release Date: May 23,2025
Going to PlayStation®4 and Steam, not PS5?

We gotta wait till 2026 for Onimusha: Way of the Sword, but we can already see it looksl ike a must play for that year.

Shinobi: Art of Vengeance is out Aug 29th on all modern consoles a PC. This old-school side-scroller looks addictive.
