We're not gonna do it over here at TTDILA, but we have plenty of friends who love running real early on Thanksgiving. You can too and get a t-shirt and wear a silly hat. Turkey Trot LA is probably the biggest of the races you can sign up for and gets you downtown. We've heard of a few more all over SoCal. So, if you don't want to have to schlep all the way some where to run, just look for the closes Thanksgiving related run near you. From the Turkey Trot press release:
"Over 6,000 participants, dressed as everything from turkeys and pilgrims to pies and mashed potatoes, will gather in front of the iconic Los Angeles City Hall to run, jog, and walk through some of the city’s most scenic landmarks. The route winds past the glittering Disney Concert Hall, the Broad Museum, the Museum of Contemporary Art, and historic Spring Street, offering a truly unique way to experience the heart of Downtown L.A.
But it's not just about the fun — the Turkey Trot is a charity event benefiting The Midnight Mission, a vital organization helping those experiencing homelessness in Los Angeles. The goal is to raise $100,000 to provide essential services, shelter, and hope to those in need."
There's also the Drumstick Dash LA if closer to the valley.
