Game Hype: Secret Level Concord Episode Still Coming, Valve Might Want To Moderate More & Morsels

Turns out that the Concord episode of Secret Level, the new video game anthology show coming to Amazon this December, is still coming out. Quite a few people were wondering if the episode would air with the demise of the game itself. If you don't know, Concord was a multiplayer shooter in development for almost a decade, was released by Sony this year, flopped and is now dead. The game was out for about a month before being pulled from the market. It's also been rumored to have cost Sony $400 million. And, because of this might be the biggest video game flop in history.

With no game, it might make sense to not air the episode and just consider it lost media. However, as reported by Rolling Stone, the series creator Tim Miller says it will be airing with the rest of the episodes, each based on a game that still exists.

Valve must address swastikas and other hate on Steam, writes US senator in a letter to Gabe Newell

Valve doesn't seem to have the greatest track record it seems with dealing with moderating hate. One Senator seems like he wants the comapny do better and it's building up steam.

Never heard of "HateVision" before, that's gotta be slighty weird to program and AI tool to find what's racist.

"The searching for hateful content was done using help from an AI tool called "HateVision", which scanned the groups and user profiles on Steam for specific hatestuff, including "39 key potentially extremist and antisemitic symbols". The ADL has written up a methodology for how the findings were compiled, if you like to read that sort of thing"

Well, this top-down roguelike looks perfectly addictive for the new year. Get it on Steam, Switch and PlayStation this Feb.
