We'll screen a secret cult classic horror movie (don't be fooled by our image, it may be anything but we promise you we have chosen one we think will be a blast) followed by a Halloween party with music, food and drink for purchase, prizes for best costumes, movie nerds, movie community, & more! This party is donation based (with a suggested donation of $25/person or more each person gets 1st drink on us!) to celebrate the official start of our Fall 2024 season.

Día de los Muertos

Celebrate Life and Legacy: Join Us for Downtown Día de los Muertos 2024!

Experience the vibrant tradition of Día de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) with Gloria Molina Grand Park’s Downtown Día De Los Muertos.

A two-week exhibition featuring stunning altars created by local artists and community organizations, along with vibrant family-friendly activities, a free film screening, and the first Downtown Día de Muertos parade.

Don’t miss the Opening Ceremony on Saturday, October 19th, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., featuring music, dance, poetry, and more. This event is in partnership with ALOUD and the Library of America, and features media giveaways from KTNQ 1020 AM.

From press release: Hollywood Forever’s 25th installment of their annual Dia de los Muertos event. This year’s theme is spirit guides and guardians and will feature special performances from Pedro Fernandez, Los Lobos, Reyna Tropical, Ambar Lucid, El Santo Golpe, Niko Rubio, and Tania Libertad. Additionally will feature food and beverage vendors, Aztec dancers and performers, elaborate altars, a children’s village, and more.

Vidiots invites you to join us for our inaugural Día de los Muertos Celebration – an all-day remembrance of our loved ones. Join us in the MUBI microcinema for Lotería, prizes, and arts and crafts for all ages throughout the day. In the Eagle, we will be screening spirited classics all day and night.
