We got two reminders for you before we get fully engrossed with Halloween...like we haven't already. There's two reasonably sized anime convention's next month we wanted to remind you about.
Anime Pasadena Nov 2-3rd
Pasadena Convention Center
$
We've loved their sister convention held in Riverside the last two years, it's Anime Pasadena. A smaller convention that makes up for it in great panels, community and just so much to see and do. This is definitely more for the fan as it doesn't have the most big names, but it does have the perfect location. You're right in downtown Pasadena, so you can easily find good food and parking.
Oh, and they have a Jojo Pose off Competition & Super Saiyan Scream-off Competition !
Anime Expo Chibi Nov 9-10th
Ontario Convention Center
$
It may be smaller than the big one at the LA Convention Center, but it's a got plenty to see and do. It might have our favorite version of Artist Alley. While, they say it's a smaller AX, it's still booking a lot of guests and talent. We could see you spending the day there.
Unlike Anime Pasadena, your options for food and parking are much smaller. We suggest just parking at the main lot that has shuttles near the airport.
Another problem we had last year was the long line to get in with picking up our wristband, probably took an hour or more. It line was directly in the sun and there's not even an option to have the band mailed to you. So, plan ahead, bring water and something to protect yourself from the sun. AX should be well aware at this point not to leave people out in the blazing heat or even have these ridiculously long lines.
You should definitely take a gander at Babirousa's Manga Enamel Pins up for pre-order. Can you name every manga without looking it up?
