Acts slated for the first event on August 15th are DJ Penny Wild spinning electronic music, the 1969 Rock Band playing classic rock and blues, and Jontha Links, performing pop and hip-hop. More performers will be added to the line-up. Attendees can also play games for all ages, register to vote, view community booths, and enjoy interactive exhibitions.

Downtown Los Angeles’ Corey Helford Gallery (CHG) is proud to announce its next major solo show, titled Spirited Away, featuring new works by renowned British artist Kai Clements of Kai & Sunny. Opening Saturday, September 21st in the Main Gallery and promising to bring a whole new dimension to the artist’s work, the exhibition will feature over 25 new works, along with collaborations with world-renowned artists Shepard Fairey and D*Face, a limited-edition silkscreen print release, a skateboard deck collaboration with Element streetwear brand, and more. And, two solo exhibitions featuring new works by Los Angeles-based artist Andrea Guzzetta, titled Afterglow, and Korean artist Kiseok Kim, titled Plastic.

The event begins at 10 a.m. with live music and exhibits from Roots & Shoots groups and sustainable businesses. The peace dove parade, which will include 90 giant dove puppets, begins at 1:30 p.m. The Peace Day celebration will end with a talk from Jane at 2:30 p.m. and officially conclude at 4:00 p.m.
This live event is part of a global tour in celebration of Dr. Goodall’s 90th birthday. The trailblazing conservationist has spent the year spreading her message of hope through action through several events in the United States and across multiple continents.

Pixar Putt, the whimsical pop-up, mini golf course experience featuring fan-favorite Pixar characters. The limited engagement begins September 21, 2024 and runs through January 15, 2025, at the 2ND & PCH shopping center in Long Beach.
Pixar Putt is made up of 18 fun and interactive holes inspired by the stories, characters and icons from some of Disney and Pixar's most beloved films including Toy Story, The Incredibles, Monsters, Inc., Finding Nemo, Coco, A Bug's Life, Wall-E and Inside Out. The pop-up golf course also features Pixar Putt After Dark for players that are 18 and older, which makes for a fun-filled date night or hangout with friends. Tee times for Pixar Putt After Dark begins at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.

KAWAII is Art -EXPRESS YOURSELF-” is the first exhibition in which
Masuda, known as the “King of Kawaii,” brings together multiple artworks
unravelling the concepts within the phenomena while introducing his
personal story of sharing kawaii with the world. Through his collection
of artifacts from the origins of the culture and dazzling immersive art
installations, visitors are invited to explore the cultural context and
significance of the kawaii movement and step into the colorful world to
feel the aesthetic for themselves, emphasizing its role in fostering a
sense of joy, innocence, and community as a tool for self-expression and
representation of a worldwide tribe to which we can all belong.
