Halloween 2024: Late Night with Chucky, Sign Language Used In Haunt, Frankenstein Comic & Stay Puft Marshmallow Man S’more

Late Night with Chucky is the craziest addition we've seen come to Horror Nights @ Universal. It's a live show hosted by Chucky. No, the actor who voices the doll isn't staying there every night, but it seems like it'll be "puppeted" and someone with a similar vocal range will be hosting it for you. You can even ask him questions via a QR code in the lobby of his theater.

"Additionally, it’s been announced today that “Late Night with Chucky,” an all-original live talk show located in the DreamWorks Theatre, will feature the notorious doll infusing his self-deprecating sense of humor as he takes over Late Night. The interactive attraction will invite guests to submit questions for Chucky to answer via a QR code available in the lobby of the theatre, but if this temperamental host doesn’t appreciate the question, guests may end up like his production team who have been eliminated from their position…permanently." via BD

Another sight to see, because you probably won't hear it, is the use of sign language in the "A Quiet Place" haunt.

From the press release:

"Mirroring the silence in the films, the haunted houses will embrace unique sound design, special effects and the adept performances of the scareactors to convey the ominous sense of dread depicted in the films. Consequential to the storyline, Halloween Horror Nights will incorporate the use of American Sign Language (ASL) for the first time ever within the “A Quiet Place” haunted houses to capture the authenticity of the films.

Fans will relive the tension that will come to life in the iconic scenes from the first two films, including traveling through the farmhouse that serves as the Abbott family’s shelter and stepping into the root cellar where Evelyn Abbott escapes to give birth as one of the creatures closes in. The snarls of the larger-than-life predators will follow guests at every spine-chilling turn, and guests must remember: if they hear you, they will hunt you."

Staying with Universal be sure to pick-up Universal Monsters: Frankenstein comic mini-series. Another take on the classic undead bolted monster.

We liked the first issue.

The Stay Puff Marshallow Man S'more looks pretty good and is a special food item you can only get at Horror Nights.

So is the Wooden Board Éclair – dark chocolate mousse filled éclair dripped in chocolate ganache.
