Weekly What To Do: Anime Expo and The Fourth of July & Jaws, There's Always Another Jaws

It's that time of year again, the 4th of July an Anime Expo. So, not gonna go over AX over here that much, but downtown belongs to the otaku this weekend. We've been telling you about AX for week's now. We'll have a big overview the event when it's all over.

Join Gloria Molina Grand Park's 4th of July Block Party!

A celebration of community, resilience and joy shared among Angelenos who want to build connections, solidarity, allyship and mutual support. This year’s event features arts activities, sports games, live music, and dance, with dozens of LA’s favorite food trucks and DJs spanning genres from hip-hop to reggaeton, funk, and more. Enjoy the return of the Gloria Molina Grand Park Ferris Wheel and an innovative drone show by Grizzly Entertainment.

Universal Studios Hollywood Celebrates 4th of July
With Elaborate Firework Displays, Live Performances and Themed Décor,

Guests are invited to bring family and friends to celebrate Independence Day at Universal Studios Hollywood to experience the theme park’s slate of award-winning lands, rides, and attractions, then transition to the rhythmic beats of a fife and drum band, festive décor and an exhilarating fireworks display beginning at 9:00 p.m.
 
 
The Queen Mary’s All-American 4th of July Celebration runs from 3 p.m. – 10 p.m. Tickets start at $35 online for children and $55 online per adult. The VIP admission is $125 for ages 4+ and includes additional access to Verandah Grill, Britannia Salon, and premium firework viewing. Hotel and cabana packages are also available. Cabanas are available for reservation and will grant access to the Capstan Deck.
 
Celebrate an all-American 4th of July aboard The Queen Mary and enjoy a fun-filled day of good food, great entertainment, family games, activities, a World War II aircraft flyover, and a spectacular fireworks show.

 On each evening of the Festival of Arts summer schedule, ticket holders are amazed and enchanted by ninety minutes of tableaux vivants (living pictures), incredibly faithful re­creations of classical and contemporary works of art, with real people posing to look exactly like their counterparts in the original pieces.

 

Set in a beautiful open-air gallery, this highly acclaimed juried fine art show features the work of over 100 award-winning Orange County artists. From paintings, glass, ceramics, photography and more, the Festival showcases a variety of mediums and artwork styles for avid collectors and festivalgoers to browse and purchase directly from the artists.
