Anime Expo 2024: News Out Of The Expo

Here's a bunch of news from Anime Expo on upcoming anime or news that came out right after AX.

First off, here's a highlight from the Hololive Night at Dodger Stadium.

From what we heard the audience loved the Dan Da Dan Premiere, it was also revealed you can check out the first three episodes in theaters in September before it comes to streaming in October. From what we've read off the wiki you'll be able o stream the series on both Crunchyroll and Netflix.

Trigger is slowly slowly moving forward with New Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt, just showing off an image and logo and going over whose making it. They still haven't given a real air date, episode count or where it will even be seen. Online it's been said some time in 2025 will see it.

What we won't see is comments over on Crunchyroll, we've written about it before. Many folks using Crunchyroll are dismayed that the comment section is now dead. Somewhat smartly the did wait to do it after AX so no one could complain to them in person.

Funny enough, this happens right before their new "cool"rebranding.

One of the greatest bits was to hear that Ranma 1/2 remake anime is coming out this October from Mappa and on Netflix. What's funny is Urusei Yatsura just finished from David Productions. So, instead of using the same company that just did a Rumiko Takahashi remake, they went with a totally different company. Both animation studios have made really good anime, it's just odd to switch.

For old-school sub fans, you're in luck, most of the original Japanese cast is back for the show. There will be an English dub, but no details on if we'll get the same voice actors from the original dub.

Hello! Woah!
