Last week it was Hades II, this week, we're totally into Balatro, a rouge-lite deck-building card game. It might look like Poker, but it isn't. It's a totally addictive game that has you unlocking different cards that give you more than an unfair edge to make enough bank to beat the score. And, it does look like it was made for a 16-bit console.
Highest recommendation to get into as something to play with downtime or just get lost in.
Balatro is available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
Lorelei and the Laser Eyes is out now on Switch it's from the same team who gave us Sayonara Wild Hearts. It's a totally killer looking puzzle game.
Watch carefully, observe. Numbers. Patterns. Puzzles. Are they all part of a macabre game, a plot, a simple treasure hunt? From @simogo, #LoreleiandtheLaserEyes comes to #NintendoSwitch on May 16th. #IndieWorld

I tried the GameScent so you don't have to and, trust me, you don't want to
Not the greatest endorsement for the scent spewing gaming device.
The Rogue Prince of Persia is still coming out in early access May 27th. From some of the people who made Dead Cells.
