Shin Kamen Rider May 31st

 

A lot of hype in Japanese fandom circles for this one. Shin Kamen Rider from Hideaki Anno (Evangelion) will have a a one night showing in May. Kamen Rider, is like the first Japanese super hero, and had new versions appear year after year. Sort of like our version of Power Rangers and sort of like Doctor Who as new people and stories come out every year. This is a eboot of the original Kamen Rider and it's supposed to be bloody. Now Fathom Events won't start selling tickets until May 5th. But, I was able to get seats for showing through Cinemark anyway. Here's the Fathom event page. Though, I'm sure they'll be plenty of venues in LA to see it. It will be one night only, so you might want to grab them as soon as possible.
