I’ve been directing on AT: Fionna & Cake for over a year now and i’m so bummed to be rolling off such a beautiful project in a few weeks. (hit me up if you need a director/supe/writer in 2023!) pic.twitter.com/Zq25Q8zsga

Bittersweet to know that the main crew behind the upcoming Adventure Time: Fiona & Cake are finished on the show and now it has to be animated overseas, but it hasn't been renewed for a second season, so they're looking for work.
Now, if the show is popular on HBO Max it can come back, but, by then, I'd assume many of the fine peeps working on the show we'll have new jobs and can't come back. Ughh.
wrapped on this last week and wanted to do a nice little send off for these two. extremely grateful to have been a part of a project like this!! :’^)) wowee pic.twitter.com/ysqvO6Vncc

Not sure if I'll even enjoy the new series as:
1. I don't see much of the original Adventure Time crew worked on it, at least by names I know.
2. Didn't enjoy Distant Lands that much and I assume, same people worked on them and this.
It's been so long since it was announced, forgot about the premise too, from Wikipedia:
Adventure Time: Fionna and Cake is a spin-off of Adventure Time, the latter of which follows the adventures of Finn the Human and Jake the Dog. This series follows Finn and Jake's gender-swapped complements, Fionna the Human and Cake the Cat. The series also stars Simon Petrikov, a character who for most of Adventure Time had been well known as the Ice King. Adventure Time: Fionna and Cake sees the trio travel throughout the multiverse, while also being chased by "a powerful new antagonist" who is "determined to track them down and erase them from existence."
Here's hoping it's watchable, but getting a multiverse burnout as it's fast becoming the buzzword of the year and years to come.
And worried how it won't be on Cartoon Network, but streaming right away. Marketing for animated stuff on HBO Max hasn't been that great.
As people have been rolling off, I've seen some buds post lil drawings for Fionna and Cake, and I figured I'd do one too! SO, I rolled off awhile ago, but I had the absolute honor to board some things for Fionna and Cake! I'm so so excited about it and it was such a fun time =] pic.twitter.com/8VKGHkyBgu
