There's
a reason this wasn't happening during Covid. Just reading any synopsis

Thinkspace Projects is presenting TRNZ’s debut US solo show, ‘Cotton Harlequins.’
Inspired by the artist’s recent trips to local thrift shops and his
childhood love of anime, the resulting collection is a colorful story
told through clothing and facial expressions.‘Freedom Protesters’ will include 30 cut out flags of different
colors with “FREE” written on it, and 12 16inch square paintings of the
protesters. In some sense, I’m trying to create a protest scene using
the most basic protest material- the Cardboard paper.Following our sold out solo exhibition with Yosuke Ueno at the Brand
Library and Arts Center at the end of 2020, we are excited to showcase a
special collection of 36 new works on paper from the artist as we gear
up for his return in the summer of 2024.Thinkspace Projects is presenting Scott Listfield’s latest show with the gallery, ‘The Multiverse.’
This complex show is the result of two years of feeling stuck, both
physically and mentally. On the other side of a difficult period
globally and personally, Listfield set out to make a show that was
autobiographical in nature.
JAPAN HOUSE Los Angeles’s popular Movie
& Bites series’ new program features the debut episode of the
Japanese serialized drama, “Goddess of the Line: Journey to the Ultimate Ramen!” (Gyoretsu no Megami - Ramen Saiyūki)
[Length: 45 minutes]. This new Japanese television series is based on
the popular manga in which the main character, Tatsumi Serizawa, is the
owner of a ramen restaurant that draws long lines of customers every
day. She is also a food consultant and gives a jump-start to struggling
or financially distressed ramen shops. One day, customer Yutori Shiomi
tells her that the ramen she ordered – a new item on the menu – was not
delicious. She applies for a job with Serizawa and promises, despite her
lack of professional experience, to help to improve her ramen.
The
screening will be followed by a simple recipe demonstration and ramen
tasting, featuring toppings that can be used to take your ramen at home
to the next level. The event will provide cooking tips and recipes for
making the most popular ramen toppings: seasoned eggs (ajitama) and braised pork chashū.
Guests will receive take-home ramen kits to try on their own.
