Wed. June 1 - Wed. June 8
Aero and Los Feliz Theatre
"The inaugural “BLEAK WEEK” is a weeklong festival that spotlights some of the greatest films from around that world that explore the darkest sides of humanity, featuring the world’s leading filmmakers who wholly embrace a cinema of despair in pursuit of unpleasant truths and raw empathy.
This year’s program includes 33 films from 18 countries. Archival prints, restorations, live guests and more."
Check out the link above, but be careful if you're having a bad day. It will not put you in the right mindset.
I hope there's some sort of food deal. There was a sandwich shop not too far from where I used to live and I only went there once because the owner was so depressing. Didn't say one word to me, but I heard him talk to the previous customer. Pointed to signs to get my order correct. After leaving I always referred to it as Sad Sandwiches. That's not its name, but the bastard running the place was one sad-son- of-a-bitch. Always thought the sandwiches were extra salty because he used his tears as a condiment.
I'm just saying, I'd love some sad sandwiches or a least a packet of tissues when viewing any of these suicide squad membership drives.
I'm not sure if we should dust off the old Things Not To Do In LA section for this one...
