We visited two shops walking distance from one another in Burbank and you should check them out this weekend or head to before Halloween.
First up,
This is the premiere store for Halloween stuff year-round. This place looks way better than any Spirit Halloween store. A huge collection of things that got bump in the night. They have horror t-shirts that make Hot Topic look like a 99 cent store. Decorations, books, plushies, pins. This store is jam-packed with Halloween goodness.
Costumes? They have two stores nearby devoted to costumes. One for adults and one for kids. They have you covered.
A few downsides. No pictures. They don't want you taking any selfies or photos inside for some reason. There very specific when it comes to credit cards. You have to have your I.D. and it has to match the name on the card. So, you can't lend it it to your kids if they want to grab something there.
Not far is the
Another great store nearby to get some amazing Halloween gear. The selection isn't as robust as Halloween Town, but they've got things Halloween Town don't. That includes a Horror Camp themed pop-up shop and The Evil Dead Experience. The Horror Camp pop-up is just a holler to look through as is the rest of the store. The Evil Dead Experience is a fun little romp through the series with props from the film series. For $15 it's a fine weekend time-waster. We wouldn't pay for the add-ons again.
No real downside, maybe some high prices, but you ain't finding the stuff anywhere else. And they want you to take photos.
