This COVID-safe, touch-free, interactive art exhibit will surprise and delight fans and visitors alike by appearing on the middle of the Santa Monica Pier the day before the show’s premiere and throughout the weekend.
 
Fans of all ages are invited to stop by and participate in the photo opportunity in front of the big red ball installation and mock contestant-style interviews for fun photos and video content for social. The Wipeout “sideline reporter” will be asking all the tough and hilarious questions. Consumers are encouraged to stop by and share their soon-to-be best Instagram photo, telling their friends and followers why they have “big balls.” At the activation, fans can also scan a QR code and enter the Wipeout Bracket Battle for a chance to win the grand prize: $1000 gift card and exclusive Wipeout swag.*

Movie Hype: Comic-Con Thanksgiving? Everything Old Is New & Anime Movie Making Movie

 

Most of the internet is going, "What the Hell?," with an in-real-life Comic-Con. Comic-Con responded with a, "Eh, it might not even happen." The main reasoning is that it's already the busiest travel weekend in the USA, surprisingly more then even Christmas?
 
 I've recently though about devoting time to a weekly section that covers reboots, sequels or anything from our past becoming a show or movie. But then, I really could cover anything else.
 

 
It sounds utterly strange to have a sequel when one of the faces that came off is dead in the movie...Yeah, that's all it's strange, but Adam Wingard, director of the upcoming Godzilla Vs Kong might be have enough to pull to make a sequel. We're hopping for it being called Body/Off.
 

 
It's really great to hear the guys that gave us the sci-fi horror The Endless are gonna be making Moon Knight, they seem perfect from the track record of the films they've made and written.

Another great choice of someone to run a tv show. Sadly, on a service hardly anyone watches. We loved the work of  Kim Jee-Woon on I Saw the Devil a petty revenge thriller that so perfectly shows off the genre of Korea revenge films.

Dang, I don't know how the Hell the could pull off Hellsing. Especially as a movie for Amazon? Would it be live-action? Oh, I hope not. 

-PG: Psycho Goreman’: Get a “Hunky Boy Reel Meal Deal” at Ontario’s Lester D’s Reel Diner! [Retro Commercial]
 
We loved Psycho Goreman, if you haven't seen it, then frig you. It's online and on Blu-ray. This is pure nostalgia for anyone who grew up in the 90's and watched Power Rangers and horror movies. But there's so many other nods. It was a treat beyond treats.


And, lastly, check out the trailer for Pompo: The Cinéphile, which  goes over the production of making a movie. It's out in Japan in June. Hopefully, we get a dubbed or subbed version soon after.

What We Found On The Net: Alien Easter Eggs, PEPSI x PEEPS & Razer's Face Mask Was Just A Concept?

The Project Hazel face mask that can light up and looks like you're in a dystopian future was just a concept design. We're a bit angry about Razer not making it clear that it was essentially an idea. It seemed very much like a project that was being made. Still no word when it will come out and what price.
 
They way Razer treats people interested in its products though, is pretty awful. I don't recommenced pre-ordering, whenever that is, but looking for a company making a similar mask or buying a knock-off that's as effective.

LA Mag Did A Very Bad Map Of What's Closed Downtown

We keep up to date with the other LA media online and sometimes you can tell when things were rushed or someone didn't try very hard. That's the case for LA Magazines "The Vanishing", duh-duh-DUH!

The worst part is that the article says some places are closed permanently, but doesn't indicate which ones? Why even write...do that if you don't have that info. So, some of the places might re-open? Which ones? Put an asterisk near them.
 
In any case, it's depressing to see what's closed and "possibly" gone forever.
 
R.I.P.  A Shop Called Quest, you were a cool comic book shop downtown in the worst parking lot ever. Hopefully, your website tells people your closed one day.

A program did the map for the writer, something called Cartifact. The horrible alphabetical numbering system makes a mess of finding similar businesses in the same areas. Like #1 and #31 of food should have been #1 and #2; it's annoying to find things.

Game Hype: Welcome To The Neo Retro Future

 


Narita Boy, after a Kickstarter and a long wait, comes out at the end of this month. On March 30th  you finally can get lost in an 80's dimension making fun of classic tropes from the era. It'll be out on Steam, PS4, Xbox ONE, Nintendo Switch. It's fun genre would be called neo-retro, remixing past games based on what people thought the future would be.
 

Another neo-retro game coming out is based on a movie in the same genre, Turbo Kid. We loved the movie when it premiered in LA and find it funny that 6 years after it came out someone decided to make a game about it. Not a lot of details other then it's in production.




Coming out in a few days is It Takes Two, which has had some good reviews, but not perfect. Looks like a fun game to play, while still stuck inside.
