Halloween is officially cancelled in LA County. It's one of the saddest things we've ever had to write. You can't go trick or treating or even mall trick or treating. Not even in Church parking lot, car trunk, trick or treating this year. No parties either. It sucks.
This comes from county health officials as of writing this. There's no talk about what penalties will be involving you trying to get candy from a neighbor in a costume Oct 31st, but we assume a hefty fine. And parties with large groups are suppose to have their homes water and power shut off. So far the parties in LA that have been getting caught have been rentals.
Drive-thru haunts and what we recommend remain legit and are okay. But sadly, this means kids won't enjoy Halloween as it's been celebrated for lifetimes. No candy!!!
We'll keep giving you alternatives for anything Halloween to do around LA.

popular sections of Descanso Gardens.
