-NEON the people who brought us Parasite, got the rights to Cronenberg Jr, Brandon Cronenberg's, Possessor. We've written about it before as it's been in the festival scene. It's a messed up sci-fi thriller about a hitwoman that go into other people's brain's via some form of telempathy or brain-implant technology to assassinate others. Then leaves the poor shumck's mind. Except this time, things go bad and the or hitwoman's mind mixes with one of her shumck's. Hopefully, that means in theaters of home video real soon.
-GKids got the rights to Lupin III: The First, the brand new CGI take on Lupin the Third. We haven't looked into it beyond it's amazing trailer which sold us on seeing it whenever it comes stateside. Fans of Lupin are wondering if GKids will hopefully keep the same vocie cast that's been dubbing the cartoon for years now. Let's hope when everything blows over we can see it in theaters and then on VOD. Is the the tile a silly Japanese Engrish title, oh yeah.
We've been waiting for the ultra violence in Why Don't You Just Die! for about a year now. This one will be able to stream online starting April 20th.
Synopsis:Matvey
(Aleksandr Kuznetsov) has just one objective: to gain entry to his
girlfriend's parents' apartment and kill her father Andrey (Vitaliy
Khaev) with a hammer to restore her honour. But all is not as it
initially seems, and Matvey's attempts to bludgeon the family patriarch
to death don't quite go to plan as Andrey proves a more formidable - not
to mention ruthless - opponent than he anticipated... and Matvey, for
his part, proves stubbornly unwilling to die.
