Chuck Steel: Night of the Trampires
Saturday, October 13, 2018 - 10:00pm
Chinese 6, part of Screamfest film festival
$11
Synopsis:
It’s
not 1985 anymore…it’s 1986, and Chuck Steel is ‘the best God damn cop
on the force’ according to his long suffering boss, Captain Jack Schitt.
But even this maverick, renegade, loose cannon, lone wolf, cop on the
edge, who doesn’t play by the rules has his work cut out when the
Governor of LA decides to reduce the licensing hours for clubs and bars
triggering a sudden, inexplicable spate of high profile disappearances
in the city. The disappearances all have the same thing in common, a
crime scene covered in blood but with no sign of the victim. The police
are perplexed until they get a break in the case when one of the victims
manages to escape. Chuck goes to interview the victim at the hospital
but is confronted by a crazed old man who introduces himself as Abraham
Van Rental. He warns a disbelieving Chuck that an evil scourge is about
to descend on the city of Los Angeles – the scourge of the TRAMPIRES – a
mutated hybrid of vampire and tramp…

"It’s 1942 and you receive an invitation to the book launch of Señor Plummer: The Life and Laughter of an Old Californian,
Eugenio Plummer’s (mostly) true account of his life in early Los
Angeles. You arrive in the newly dedicated Plummer Park, only steps away
from where Plummer himself has lived since 1877 - but the festivities
stir up a merry band of ghosts and shadows who sweep you into a past
filled with wild west duels, pirates, land-grabs, violent mobs,
shark-riding, romances, epic court battles, and, of course, fiestas."

A home haunt you cant judge from it's web-site. We've loved going to this place last year. Whomever is running it must work in the industry because the level of this is on par with the theme parks.

Hollywood Forever Cemetery

The Art Deco Society of Los Angeles returns to Hollywood Forever Cemetery for the 35th year, to share the life stories (including the scandals!) of early Hollywood's pioneers, movie stars and moguls.
The 2-1/2-hour docent walking tour is highlighted by some living history "visits" with several of the luminaries buried there. Founded in 1899, Hollywood Forever is the final resting place of silent film swashbuckler Douglas Fairbanks, heart throb Rudolph Valentino, film director Cecil B. DeMille, actress Marion Davies and many other legendary Los Angelinos.

Let Live Theatre At The Actors Co
916 N Formosa Ave, Los Angeles, California 90046

"SILENCE! The Musical is a bawdy tribute to the iconic film "The
Silence of the Lambs". Rookie FBI agent Clarice Starling matches wits
with brilliant but insane cannibal, Dr. Hannibal Lecter, to catch serial
killer Buffalo Bill. This laugh-out-loud naughty satire features
a chorus of singing and dancing lambs, Buffalo Bill gleefully dancing a
hoedown while kidnapping hapless Catherine Martin and even Dr. Lecter
singing about the life he’d like to lead outside the prison walls."
4212 Sunset Boulevard
Los Angeles, CA 90029

Return to the cruel summer of 1997. In Southport, North Carolina
back when Julie, Ray, Helen and Barry were out having fun, drinking,
partying, running people over, and getting away with murder. But, when
it becomes clear the truth is no longer six feet under, the friends
quickly realize that it’s not over until The Fisherman sings. Literally.
Set to a playlist of 90s B-sides from Eve 6, Eagle-Eye Cherry, Third
Eye Blind, The Verve Pipe, and more, #IKnowMusical is bound to have you
singing and screaming your heart out. And, yes, Julie obviously sings
Jennifer Love Hewitt’s How Do I Deal as heard on the sequel soundtrack.
