1. For the first time ever, Universal Studios Hollywood
invites kids to dress up in their favorite Halloween costumes and go
Trick-or-Treating with some of the park’s beloved characters on Saturday,
October 27 and Sunday, October 28 from 10am to 4pm.
2. Universal Studios Hollywood invites guests to enter the
Upside Down for a daytime “Lights On” experience of the “Stranger Things” maze
to see how the popular TV series authentically comes to life nightly at
“Halloween Horror Nights.” From Monday, October 29 through Friday, November 2,
daytime guests can enjoy self-guided tours of the movie-quality sets featured
in the “Stranger Things” maze, all included in the price of daytime admission
to the theme park.

CGV Cinemas Buena Park transforms into
a haunted movie theater in the run up to the Halloween season. After
purchasing a ticket and entering the doors, moviegoers will be
transported into a Halloween wonderland, complete with creepy
decorations, spooky noises, delicious Halloween-themed concessions menu
and – on the weekends – live wandering zombies just dying to take photos with guests. Specialty food items include Flesh and Blood Pizza and for your cocktails The Witches Brew, and Pumpkin So-Tini.

Battleship IOWA’s special free Halloween event that will feature a
“Trick or Treat” time, and a “Movie Under The Guns” screening of the
comedy Hocus Pocus. Beginning at 5:00 p.m., all guests in costume and
those accompanying small children will be invited on board for free to
trick or treat through a portion of the historic battleship.
Grand Park celebrates the traditions of DÃa de los Muertos with
multiple ways to experience and learn about the holiday. In partnership
with Self Help Graphics & Art and LORE Media & Arts,
the park will present 50 altars and art installations created by local
artists and community groups that reflect the theme Looking to the Past
to Build the Future.
For almost 100 years, the Anaheim Fall Festival & Halloween Parade
has brought our community together to create an annual parade &
festival, enjoyed by nearly 50,000 attendees each year. The Miss Anaheim
Fall Festival scholarship program assists our younger generation to
develop community service and leadership skills.
For their 19th Annual Dia de los Muertos, they honor the Aztec goddess
who gave birth to the moon, stars, and the sun. Celebrate the divine
feminine, the loving mother that unites us all! Coatlicue (/kwtlikwe/)
"skirt of snakes" "mother of the gods", is the Mexica-Aztec goddess who
gave birth to the moon, stars, and Huitzilopochtli, the god of the sun
and war. She is the the Great Mother, in whom both the womb and the
grave co-exist.
On Saturday, October 27, from 10:00am-12:00pm, One
Colorado hosts their annual Pumpkin Decorating Extravaganza. Kids can
get busy with glitter glue, pipe cleaners, and washable markers to
decorate their own pumpkin to take home. One pumpkin per child.
On Wednesday, October 31,
from 5:00-8:00pm, bring your costumed ghosts and ghoulies to
trick-or-treat store-to-store in Old Pasadena. Look for the Ambassador
Guides in the yellow shirts and friendly costumed characters who will be
handing out treats, greeting our visitors, and posing for photos. All
activities are free and open to all!
Also on Halloween evening,
One Colorado offers free "haunted photos" in the Courtyard for costumed
kids and families; photos conclude at 8:00pm and the line will be
adjusted accordingly – arrive early! Enjoy a free screening of
"Coraline" beginning at 7:00pm.
