When we toured the Bread Festival at the Grand Central Market we finally had a chance to try PBJ.LA and boy, is it ever a mediocre hipster trap. We don't know how you ruin the basic peanut butter and jelly sandwich, but this place manages to. Don't be entranced by the neon, it's still just a simple sandwich shop with some different takes on peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and ughh almond milk.
Sandwiches come out like uncrustables, crusts are turned into Cinnamon Sugar Bites. And the taste, the taste is not as good as just getting some Jif and making one yourself. We see no draw to it and we see no difference in taste making it special.
It's a Grand Central Market stand that won't be around next year.
