We got a chance to play Ben Esposito's Donut County, supposedly coming out this year. The game plays like Katamari Damacy and you can see a big influence from the look and even a Trashopedia on what you collect. Instead of a ball, you collect everything via a hole that gets larger as more stuff goes into it. It's simple and fun and there's even a story about a mischievous racoon who caused it all while working as part of a donut shop.
We're still waiting for a real release date, but it was nice to play a new level.
It was one of about half a dozen games being shown off at a fundraiser for Glitch City, a game maker collective out of Culver City.
