IndieWire we have news of a new theater coming into being to replace The Cinefamily. It'll be in the same location and should be another independent theater in LA. The owners of theaters never changed hands, but those who had the problems with sexual allegations, noted former Executive Director of The Cinefamily, Hadrian Belove has nothing to do with the new theater.
There's just speculation of some possible former employees with no past problems might come back.
For many fans of cinema the news is a shining light on a cloudy day as both the New Bev (under reconstruction) and The Cinefamily aren't open in 2018. We'll update you when official word comes out and any news about a new opening.
