This year's selection once again has some amazing films including: The Disaster Artist, showing us all how Tommy Wiseau's The Room was made starring James Franco. Mrs Hyde, out of of France is a retelling of the story in a modern sending, but this time about a female teacher. The Endless has a sci-fi concept to it about two brothers going back to their cult, but having two separate views of what happened. AVA looks like pure French art film; a girl will be going blind soon so she does the most rational thing of finding her sexuality by stealing a dog...
Blade of the Immortal

What lies beneath our Los Angeles feet? What is the connection between
our terra firma and all that lies below? This conference explores the
worlds below us and the inextricable ties that bind us to the mysteries
of the subterranean. Hydrology, seismology, petroleum engineering - each
of these fields will have a voice at this conference - as will
folklorists, cemetery scholars, and poets and writers. Together, we will
navigate the underworlds of LA past, present, and future...real,
imagined, metaphorical.

Hammer Museum
10899 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90024
Free
Parking: Parking is available below the museum for a flat rate of $6 after 6 p.m. (cash only). Additional event parking is available at 11020 Kinross Ave (UCLA Parking Lot 36) with a flat rate of $5 payable by credit card/cash at the Pay Station or pay by cell phone through the Park Mobile App.
The UCLA Game Art Festival is like a mini-IndieCade. Students show off their game related work and it can be more theoretical and fun for one night then something you might see on Steam. It's an eccentric night to look at and ponder gaming in all its forms, not just on the screen. The event at the Hammer will feature more than 50 playable games, tournaments, machinima and more.
