The latest episode "Magic to Make the Sanest Man Go Mad," is being praised for being an authentic Star Trek episode for the crew of the Discovery being stuck in a time loop. There's nothing I can attack or saw as a blunder of shooting the same scenes over and over again within the time loop, but I can go over the poorly done editing in this episode. Though it might be perceived as a minor problem, if you're shooting a million dollar streaming series you might want to make sure scenes line up.
In a short scene with Michael Burnham and Mud we see Burnham's hands change position multiple times withing second of each other and frankly it's very noticeable. One of those positions shows Burnham very much in a concerned stated with a jittery finger. So
It's just a tell that the editing was rushed or filming was rushed and they had no alternatives, but on such a high profile show it's kind of sad to see such a CW level of care put into it.
