LAist Is Dead

In some strange sudden news, LAist, one of the best LA sites about LA is dead. From what we've gone over from the Daily News and what's written on the LAist site the owner wasn't happy with unionizing from the New York branch of Gothamist, the big company that LAist was a part of. So, he shut down all the sites and said it was because it wasn't financially sound to keep doing so.

We're going to miss one of our favorite sites that constantly covered LA. Really, that was one of the best sites on LA, events, culture and just LA coverage and that's what we do.
