The David S. Pumpkins Halloween Special?
Well, did not see that coming, but somehow there's going to be a half an hour David S. Pumpkins Halloween Special based on Tom Hanks' character from SNL this Halloween. It'll be airing on Saturday, October 28 at 11:30 PM ET/PT, on NBC with Hanks voicing Mr. S. Pumpkins.
The plot?
"Set in a small suburban town on All Hallows’ Eve, the special centers on David Pumpkins and his skeleton sidekicks who show a young boy and his sister the true meaning of Halloween, answering none of their questions along the way."

Screamfest has its full schedule and guide up for it's numerous Halloween showing Oct 10-18 at the Chinese Theares in Hollywood. There's such a wide selection of new horror, it's hard to choose what to see. You have so many films with great buzz behind them like Dead Ant, Ruin Me, Tragedy Girls and more.

Halloween goes to full swing as we crossover to October this Sunday. All of our main haunts will be open and in the coming weeks we have an unending amount of horror movies to see a scares to explore. Where to even start with the selection, it's not Fantastic Fest, but damn, it might be my favorite film festival LA has. You're a close second SpectreFest, but you in trouble with The Cinefamily being out right now.
They're showing some amazing horror cult classics like Slumber Party Massacre 1 & 2 with guests in person. Hellraiser has an anniversary screening and Suspiria, a horror gem I keep hearing about on the Shock Waves podcast that's 40 years old and is being remade for this year, weird.
There's so many free screenings too. I'm not sure why, but lucky if you can make it, you got to go in person to grab a seat for those.

Jackie Chan Added To BeyondFest Triple Threat: A Night with Jackie Chan
Friday the 13th has the release of Chan's newest film The Foreigner in theaters, because of a deal with the studios releasing the film we all get a Jackie Chan triple feature. We get
MIRACLES – MR. CANTON AND THE LADY ROSE. Immediately following MIRACLES, Jackie will join us for a moderated Q&A that will then be followed by 35mm screenings of POLICE STORY 3: SUPER COP and POLICE STORY.
Now, Jackie Chan is one of the best guests for live talk. He's not just going to sit there. I've been lucky enough to see Jackie in a live Q&A and he's phenomenal. Just don't ask him to sing, because he will. And strangely enough, in China, they like it.
