Unleashed seems to be aiming for middle of the road romantic comedy. In it, Kate Micucci looks for love and wishes her pets, a cat and a dog into real men on a shooting star. They have a series of dumb dates. Eventually, she falls for Sean Astin and her dog and cat go back to normal. I got that all from one of the worst cut trailers I've seen in a long time. A trailer that revealed everything that will happen in the movie and it looks like no one cared while making it.
You can see what looks like to be a very lazy romantic comedy this Thursday, August 24, where the cast and crew will participate in a Q&A after the 7:30 PM screening at the Monica Film Center. The same theater we called out for not even trying to look like a theater, it looks more like new age lofts.
