The beloved path for people who suck at going upstairs or have heart condtions or just want to recreate scenes from La La Land will reopen Thursday. Yes, Angels Flight will once again be open to the public at a $1 dollar or $.50 if you have a Metro card.
Just pay the amount and you can go up or down the hill in a cute little rail car right near Grand Central Market.

Public service is expected to
recommence on Thursday, August 31, 2017. Regular operating hours will
return to the customary 6:45 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., seven days a week, 365
days a year, including all holidays.
The Railway’s Top Station is located at California Plaza, 350 South Grand Avenue, Los Angeles 90071. The Lower Station is located at 351 South Hill Street, Los Angeles 90013, across from Grand Central Market.
The one-way fare will be $1.00.
Holders of valid Metro passes may ride for fifty cents. Five-ride and
40-ride discount commuter books, good for one person only and for thirty
days, will be available for purchase.
