Listen...this is tough for me. I'm a huge DC fanboy and the shows pays nothing but references to DC comics. However, the new comedy about Emily Locke (Vanessa Hudgens) working at a already tweaked concept of Research & Development for Wayne Security that specializes in safety items for those without powers, will probably not last long.
Before I even go further into the concept of Emily Locke working with her friends Teddy (Danny Pudi) and Ron (Ron Funches)...
Wait, they didn't even give comedian Ron Funches a new name. Oh, that's a good sign. That may have changed, but the most current source I can find just refers to him play an I.T. character with the same name.
Anyway, this teams work on preventing those who don't have powers from dying with funny visual gags. Now, what the initial idea from previous trailers was that Emily worked for an insurance company that dealt with all the problems of living in a world where superheroes and villains battle it out. That concept was dropped, for this new one where their boss Van Wayne played by Alan Tudyk, is a cousin of Bruce Wayne and develop safety gear.
Writing it down, it's not a strong or engaging concept for a wide demographic. Even for a DC fan, the insurance company sounded better.
To add more problems the initial show-runner has since left. It's probably already cancelled as DC has really put out quite a bit of superhero themed shows that have flooded TV. With five being out now while Marvel has but one with Agents of SHEILD, not including Netflix.
