Kiyoshi has created a series of posters that take a piece of Japanese lore or look and then mods it with bright colors or a modern idea to create his work. The result is eye-catching work that keeps a distinct Japanese feeling to it.
Now bear in mind this isn't the largest collection on Earth, it's a small window of brightly colored posters to stare into.
There like movie posters for aliens in a sci-fi 60's movie. Really the art just looks so strange, but f you just peer past it onto the other sections of the pavillion you see and feel a connection.
Much of the work here was for a theater group promoting their plays. while other promote a Japanese art convention from different years. You might be hard pressed to tell that from the sight of them.
