Halloween 2016: It's Only August And We Have a Backlog?

Halloween is pretty much year round here in LA, we just have so many horror events and other spectacles. When it gets to the real October it's a month of over-kill.  Halloween is coursing through everyone's veins.

Before we even get to the overdose of October we have news spewing out everywhere, not unlike the untold number of horror movies and horror festivals coming out in but two months.

Let's start with Universal Studios' Halloween Horror Nights. Tickets are on sale now and the mayhem starts Friday, September 16, 2016. This year we get some crazy themes from horror films and TV that just look darn fun. We get The Exorcist, Halloween: Hell Comes to Haddonfield, Freddy vs. Jason, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: Blood Brothers, American Horror Story and The Walking Dead. We even get which I hope can stay til' Christmas, Krampus. Yes, a horror Christmas maze.

We're kind of already blown away by all the big name horror icons involved in the mazes this year. We get Micheal Meyers, Freddy Krueger, Leatherface and Jason, some of horrors greatest legends stalking us.

Giving you scare in-between we have The Purge: Election Year scare zone and Jabbawockeez show going on in the park.

The following rides will be open during Horror nights: “Jurassic Park—In the Dark,” “Revenge of The Mummy—The Ride,” “Transformers: The Ride—3D,” and “The Simpsons Ride” will be open during “Halloween Horror Nights.”

September 16, 17, 23, 24, 29, 30, October 1, 2, 6, 7, 8, 9, 13, 14, 15, 16, 20, 21, 22, 23, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31 and November 4 and 5, 2016.
