Salt & Straw: Hipster Ice Cream Everyone Can Enjoy

Salt & Straw has been on the radar for many in the LA area for a while now. They do the classics right, offering vanilla and chocolate in new tasty ways. They also have flavors that belong in the garbage...on a garbage barge...floating away from the city... into a volcano.

We don't recommend "Black Olive Brittle & Goat Cheese" or "Dill Flowers & Fennel Pollen." Now, we do recommend making it a game trying them out as you ask for a taste or even buying them for a taste test game at home.

Salt & Straw has made a name for itself for these strange flavors of monthly flowers and odd flavor additives. You'll have to look for yourself and what kooky flavors they've come up with and have your camera ready to see your friend's face as they try them.

Regular flavors and service are good at the Abbot Kinney location. The only complaint could be price with $4.90 a scoop.

Ugh, it wouldn't be hipster hangout if the inside didn't look stupid. Everything is fine until you look up and see the awful choice of strange lighting...like q-tips that light up.
