Film guide
The Indian Film Festival holds up in Hollywood again this year. Many social issues addressed, but not a lot of outlandish fun movies the festival is known for. The only stand out film is the 1980s-set coming-of-age sex comedy Brahman Naman.

Multiple Theaters
Average Price $20
Experience an exclusive Q&A with the director and everyone who attends the event will receive a free limited edition comic book.
We at TTDILA highly recommend seeing this ultimate violent-laid first person, gets it right from video games, beautiful bastard. Or at the very least, you see it at a damn fine theater for all the action it drips with. Sharlto Copley has a fun performance, but he's not the star. Essentially you are...or really Henry is. You're seeing everything through Henry's cyborg eyes...and he sees a lot of blood.

Sweet Bean
Friday, Apr 8
Multiple Theaters
Sweet bean is a delicious red bean paste, the sweet heart of the dorayaki pancakes that Sentaro (Masatoshi Nagase) sells from his little bakery to a small but loyal clientele. Absorbed in sad memories and distant thoughts, Sentaro cooks with skill but without enthusiasm. When seventy-six-year-old Tokue (Kirin Kiki) responds to his ad for an assistant and cheerfully offers to work for a ridiculously low wage, Sentaro is skeptical about the eccentric old lady's ability to endure the long hours.
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2
Friday, April 8, Midnight

No film can compete with the scuzzy, visceral terror of Tobe Hooper’s original Texas Chainsaw Massacre, so when setting out to make the 1986 sequel, Hooper boldly chose to lead with the comedic subtext of the original. The results are the colorful and wildly entertaining Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2, a film more akin to funhouse splatter flicks like Evil Dead 2 and Dead Alive than its immediate predecessor.
