The LA Times Festival of Books
schedule is now up. See if your favorite author or illustrator is in attendance. Unlike the g-d awful LA Art Book Fair, a book fair we endorse to have a book burning, you can read real books. Same goes for LA Zine Fest, we hope this event kills those events in sheer better offerings. Those pretentious hipster/punk events can't hold a thesaurus up to the words that the festival of books gets in reviews of people enjoying it.
You'll have to choose from over 500 authors, celebrities, musicians, artists and chefs in attendacne, so we're warning you now. Oh, and Stan Lee is kicking it off to sell his new book about his memoirs in comic form.
