Southbound, a new horror anthology series from the makers of the original VHS series-not that garbage that was VHS Viral-based on traveling a desolate stretch of desert highway. TTDILA has wanted to see this film since its mention and subsequent non-screening at Beyond Fest. Now this five-tale fright fest will only be playing AFI Fest this weekend.

The Orchad snapped it up for a February small theatrical and VOD release. We can't wait that long! Why did they wait until after Halloween?
AFI- Synopsis
"On a desert road, a series of characters are irrevocably changed when
they encounter sinister forces: a pair of friends reel from the
aftermath of a hit job gone wrong; three bandmates visit the home of a
strange couple who seem to be hiding something; a man relies on help
from 911 to save a woman hit by a car; a brother tries to save his
missing sister; and a family is terrorized by masked assailants. Brought
to you by some of the minds responsible for V/H/S and V/H/S/2,
SOUTHBOUND is a refreshing take on the horror anthology film, presenting
a cohesive idea seamlessly sewn together from five distinct stories by
up–and–coming horror filmmakers." — Jenn Murphy
