Eric Nakamura, founder of Giant Robot stands with his roster of artists |
Giant Robot Celebrates another two years of being an LA icon of culture with another gallery show at Little Tokyo's Japanese American National Museum. The night kicked off with a private party for VIPs soon followed by a free opening for the masses to check out two floors of art from Giant Robot's large repertoire of artists including James Jean, Jim Lee, Kim Jung Gi and Audrey Kawasaki. Those are only a few names of the talent at the show. The long line that formed outside soon rushed in for treats and digital beats.
Some amazing pieces to goggle at this year's biennial and a mini Giant Robot store inside the museum, only to look at not to buy from...what a shame. Free button making happened up stairs and the first few hundred people got special Giant Robot pins to celebrate the night.
Artist Katsuya Terada will spend a week creating new works live in the gallery.
You have until Jan 2016 to see the show, more than enough time.
So tasty! |
