The Kevin Bacon vehicle "Cop Car" rides into LA to side-swipe "Let's Be Cops" into a fiery death. Two boys find a cop car that they shouldn't have and Kevin Bacon is a bad cop after them. Many have called it akin to an Amblin Entertainment kind of movie. The director Jon Watts was just chosen to do the new Spider-Man movies.
The film kicks off at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery, because of hipsters who can't stand being in an actual theater.
* Seriously, I get going their for morbid and horror movies, but why do they keep doing stuff at it for events not related to those genres, like the Breaking Bad finale.
Turbo Kid, another fan favorite from the festival circuit, takes 80's on overdrive in a post-apocalyptic world with a teenage hero. That look, looks like early Sam Raimi.
