place during the Iraq war in 2004. Three Japanese were abducted by a
local armed group, asking for the retreat of the Japanese troops. The
three were then denigrated in Japan, for being captured under their own
responsibility and causing trouble to the country.10 years after the
events, we have a look at the problems of the Japanese society and the
hard reality of Fallujah (Iraq), through the eyes of two former
hostages.
