Toaster Strudel never mentioned in bizarre Fruit Ninja event

Swordsman channels his inner Fruit Ninja is a wonderfully odd short article from the Los Angeles Register. At no point does it mention that it was a promotion for Toaster Strudel, now with more fruit filling, except for pictures in its slideshow.

A trained Japanese swordsman, Isao Machii, sliced fruit in front of a live audience at The Grove, Wednesday. Why the article really tries to connect to Fruit Ninja, which I thought was the promoter, makes very little sense other than, I guess, the writer likes Fruit Ninja.

"Fruit Ninja is a popular smartphone application that allows users to slice fruit using their finger as a sword. Machii used a real sword, however, and real fruit – apples, watermelons, bananas, limes, lemons, pineapples, oranges, raspberries, blueberries and strawberries tossed at him by two assistants."

Toaster Strudel marketing has to be very dumb to have had the event on Wednesday, Aug 13. There were multiple Japanese events in LA over the weekend and this coming weekend. That includes one that took place at the same location, The Grove, last Saturday. It was Nagoya Day at the Grove with Japanese food and a cosplay contest. The event would have been loved in Little Tokyo during Nisei Week activities.

On that I would discourage anyone from buying Toaster Strudel as I question: What was in it before fruit? Go buy Pop Tarts!

Remember Toaster Strudel, it's for rich white people who go to The Grove on Wednesdays.

oh look, they're all Jewish kids

"At least 100 people attended the event, including Lydia Hester, 19, a nanny to twin 6-year-old girls."

Pop Tarts sponsors us for Toaster Strudel's insane and worthless marketing, that would have been a lot better if it made sense and was mentioned in the article from Los Angeles Register promoting the event.

Jews love Pop Tarts too.
