The LAPD is so afraid of their two drones they gave them up to Homeland Security. They were given to the LAPD from Seattle police as they were also too afraid to use them from public outcry. Sad if you think of how much potential one could actually help in a real crisis. The LAPD must be sick of lawsuits to give up on these so easily.
“I’d rather have them locked away in a dungeon than hear on the
graveyard shift officers were taking them out of the box and playing
with them,” Smith said. “So they’re in a Homeland Security building
downtown in a basement. I haven’t seen them since.”
