The Boston Globe interviewed the husband and wife team of  Shelli Paroline and Braden Lamb- oh somebody didn't take somebodies last name- the artists for the Adventure Time comic.

"Ask Paroline why she takes such care and she might mention “The X-Files.” “When I was a kid, I always bought X-Files comics, and they were terrible,” she said. “There were so many ridiculous things going on; I had one where Scully was kicking a porpoise with a human brain. It was so silly. That would never happen. They weren’t taking it seriously. But I still bought them."

Here's the exclusive covers from their comic from the Emerald City Comic-Con

Adventure Time PlayPaks are out now from Cryptozoic. Just like any popular kids series they made a collectible card series for it.

Each pack contains 2 Base cards, 1 Sticker card, 1 Princess Glitter card and 1 Temporary Tattoo, Scratch 'n Sniff or Standee card.! Take a look at the checklist below for a complete guide to the cards to be collected and answers to puzzles.

Also coming out from Cryptozoic: Dog Tags and booster packs for Card Wars.
We also get are first look at the high-end character statues, also from Cryptozoic. No price point yet, probably one hundred a statue.

The series of three collectible, high-end statues with dioramas will each feature three 12-inch figure sculpts of popular characters, including one removable/replaceable figure.  The tentative names are Finn, Princess Bubblegum and Peppermint Butler; Jake, Lumpy Space Princess and BMO; and Marceline, Ice King and Gunter.

Each statue will have one interchangeable figure for customization, which also comes in the box.  Scott Gaeta, Cryptozoic Chief Operating Officer explained, "For example, you can take Peppermint Butler off the first statue and replace it with Demonic Peppermint Butler."  The other two replaceable figures are BMO and Gunter.
