We get a full episode, two eleven minute cartoons today with Finn meeting his Pappy in Wake Up/Escape from the Citadel. Finn is to meet he's Dad.
From what I've read online this might be known as the dark season of Adventure Time.
-Adventure Time: The Suitor has really cute box art of The Candy Kingdom and a ginat Peppermint Butler, out this May.
-Adventure Time: Season 3 out on DVD and Blu-Ray has two extra features.
1. The opening in legos
2. How an episode is made featurette
Did
you know Finn is partially based on Jean Luc Picard from Star Trek The
Next Generation? That's Pen Ward's, creator of AT, own words on why Finn
acts like a leader and a hero.
If you think about it the show has a lot of next generation voice cameos including: Micheal Dorn, LeVar Burton, Jonathan Frakes and Marina Sirtis.
The "how an episode is made" feature puts Pen Ward and top AT staff Kent Osborne and the big headed Adam Muto in the AT storyboard room for discussing how the show is written.
Though it skims over how much of actual animation is made we get some great insight into how episodes are written.
The feature is mixed with way too many cut-aways to past episodes; just to many clips. Whoever was the editor did a terrible job.
-Inkstuds Live at Meltdown
will feature Pen Ward and Tom Herpich as guests.
Thursday, April 24, 2014 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM

- Adventure Time PlayPaks base cards are terrible
Like most cheap trading cards based on a TV or movie the base cards feature a character from the series with little info and a bad photo. For the PlayPaks, base cards are screengrabs taken from episodes and contain some trvia about the character in question, nothing that though out, more like something written in a few seconds.
All the other goodies you can get like stickers, tatoos and mini-standees are all more worth it. They should skip the base card and jut put out the Princess Glitter card
a Scratch 'n Sniff cards with the other good ones.
Why no Princess Bubblegum gum? It makes perfect sense.
