After having an amazing show last year at Blum and Poe, Takashi Murakami is one of the speakers of the 2014 Art Talk Series, The Un-Private Collection from the yet unopened Broad Museum.
Takashi Murakami's superflat work has been stunning LA art lovers for years including having a long time exhibit at the MOCA in Little Tokyo held with critical and public acclaim.
Joining him in this collection of distinguished speakers is: Pico Iyer, Eric Fischl, Steve Martin, John Currin, James Cuno, Kara Walker and Ava DuVernay.
These talks will take place around multiple venues in LA.

The first of these events will be taking place Monday, but has already been sold-out. The speakers will be Jeff Koons, a highly criticized artist and director John Waters, best known to much of the public as the first openly gay character on The Simpsons, Smithers doesn't count because still in the closet.
