Clockwork Couture
707 South Main Street
Burbank, California 91506
(818) 478-1515
Past the Tardis and cog embossed door is a world of wonder. No one was in front when I entered Clockwork Couture with a dirigible crashing in and an octopus tentacle trying to make it's way in. This steam punk store has the goggles and clothes you need to make yourself a part of the fictional era.
I need to desperately interview the wonderful owner Donna Ricci who greeted me and slowly her army of cats did as well with Star Trek and Back to the Future names. She's trying to find them good homes, another part of what the store does. Before she could finish showing me around one of her little girls and husband came in. She started talking about improving the lighting in one of her rooms to him.
Construction and deconstruction are on their way. Clockwork is host to many different events and they want to include being able to screen videos with a small theater upstairs. Ohter improvements are on the way.

An eye-patch for four dollars, only one to choose from, yet so many mustaches. The costume store is heaven for hot girls and the men that want to see them in slutty costumes. A kid section, hats anything you need ready to be affixed to your head. I missed out on getting a spinning bow-tie for award season.
The first though of my friend was re-inacting scenes from Hotline Miami with the realistic and freak animal masks.
The decor of the sister store just a tiny walk from the costume store is simply one of the most eye-catching shops in LA. This isn't a cheap Halloween store. This has a facade of a haunted street with a haunted house inside.
It was the start of seeing so much Fred & Friends merch. The Think Geek of everything else.
They have a no photo policy, I've got to talk to the manager beforehand to get any decent shots.

A women came in asking for water, truly a fool. The only water here was bottled and for a dollar the rest of this place is soda.
A fine selection of sodas, some say better than Galco's, but Galco's will always be the better. Carbanation alley could have been used for the name of the place, a selection of sodas from all over the US. Some with frightening flavors, Ranch Dressing at the next soda testing friends. They have all the classic flavors in wide variety from many different makers. Hard to find candy too. Stop by before going to any of the three AMC movie theaters nearby and sneak it in.

It's from a movie or TV show or some sort of magical place between good ideas and bad ideas. I found some sort of device that allows your dog to send Tweets, purely the work of the devil. Mister Vintage has an array of collectables from the past and some stuff from TV and movies.

People were in the back of the story playing card games when I entered. The walls held up art from Mondo Posters. If you need a collectable from comics, an action figure or statue they might have what you're looking for. Don't come looking in for the newest issue of comic. If you want to save up for that nice nerd item for your living room.

A non-GameStop game store in Burbank. It doesn't seem to be using the space it has for much. It sort of reminds me of a Blockbuster going out of business inside. It really needs to improve if it wants to stay afloat. I didn't see a section for PS4 and Xbox One, not a good sign.

One of the only arcades in Los Angeles left. Heavy on shooters, redemption style games to get tickets and some old favorites like Metal Slug.
