Stop Calling 911 Says Mayor and Police Chief

Apparently we call 911 too much in the city. So much that Mayor Garcetti and Chief Charlie Beck our asking us to use a different number. This PSA telling us is awful. For a city known for it movie and TV shows it's cut so oddly.

The LAPD also reports it's first Chinese-American hire to the force, which they say is the first in the country? Way to go Yen Lung.

There were seriously no Chinese cops before? Anywhere in the US? Even if Chinese-American means born in the US that's weird.
