Creepypasta, reviews of horror to watch, games to play or other
Halloween goodies.Creepypasta's real meaning is short online horror
stories or urban legends.
Both of these are better than Will Smith's I Am Legend, all are based on the same story. There's major problems with all three movies, but they form and affect popular horror culture.
The Last Man on Earth
Vincent Price plays the last man on Earth after vampires take it over. He lives out his days fending off vampires who are based to much on vampires and are kind of weak. You can push most of them to get out of the way sometimes.
The concept however of going out during the day to get supplies and having to be bombarded at night by vampires and their nagging comments keeps you entertained.
It's the idea that the story takes on that the last man becomes a legend to the vampires as their monster, this is such a great reverse idea. The last man on Earth is really the only real monster left.
This feature has a nice twist that the undead have another group vying for control, the strange set of clothes they were most of set up the idea of "the community" in The Omega Man.
The Omega Man
Starring Charlton Heston this time as the last man standing has great scenes mixed with foolish 70's directing. The beginning has Heston driving around a desolate city, putting in an 8-track tape and listening to music, then suddenly he stops and shoots at a cloaked figured in a building. This scene would have been perfect, but the scenes is sped up for some reason when Heston starts firing.
We have a movie mixed between being great and the 70's having the worst sounding people in it.
Heston is a bit old in his role here too.
Omega Man has great ideas such as "The Community", no longer vampires, but albinos dying slow deaths of the plague that killed off most of humanity.
-Every time I see this I love the red flip-off jacket a survivor wears.
-Moments can switch between being laughable to damn well sad.
-Heston is much more of a player than Price, living it up in a mansion paradise from everything he's stolen.
-No inside your head narration like it's predecessor.
