Candy Streets might be my favorite episode of the 5th season of Adventure Time with Finn and Jake turning the show into a buddy cop movie. Oddly, enough Adventure Time Candy Capers debut in comics shortly after the episode came out. This buddy cop movie scenario has Peppermint Butler and Cinnamon Bun teaming up. Dumb cop, demonic cop is not a great take on the genre. The writing is a little poor and there were some animation standard nono's that the comic put in like white circles around a characters eyes. For most animation shows there's usually guide telling animators what not to draw ever and what's acceptable, it be nice if Kaboom gave it to it's illustrators. It's not the main comic, but a mini-series, still could have been better. Finn and Jake are missing and without the only heroes in the Candy Kingdom everything falls apart. Nice premise, but starring two side characters may be pushing it. Maybe slow down on all the stories Kaboom
