Korean BBQ Fest June 23 Still Alive Changes Name Again

The 5th Annual Korean BBQ Festival returns after changing it's name again from Korean BBQ Cook-off. Last year it was A Taste of Korean Town. I've been covering the event since it stared so it's near and dear to my heart.

I usually love the event, but it's so bizarre it hasn't gotten it's footing now in its fifth year. The constant name changes don't help either does the announcement of the event only about a week before it happens.

Warning
The event is taking place along side CicLAvia which will shut down Wilshire, that means getting there by car will be hard, very hard. Take the Metro if your far or find the best walking route, because essentially you want be able to cross Wilshire near it. This means bicyclists will be out and about too, you know how they are.

Food price wise I'm a little disturbed. $15  for 1 food ticket +1 non-alcoholic drink ticket is now an option, but I hope serving sizes have increased to match that price. In the past years you'd pay five bucks or the  price gouging 8 for a small plate. You best get a big plate of food for that much.

I don't see no Choco-Pie eating contest or any such fun contest as I write this. A hallmark of the event, choco-pie eating must return.
