It's the shizNICK!
Friday, April 19, 2013
7:00pm until 11:00pm
The day I post on a previous Nick art show IAM8BIT finally snaps back from their GDC shenanigans and releases info on their Nickelodeon art show.
I can't wait to hear who the artist are, but there's over 60 of them, so like maybe 63 or 64, exact number suck. Gif theatre has me confused, but seems like something to stare at. They really had me at slime.
Here's there whole announcement:
Our first EPIC show of 2013!
ALL AGES!
FREE ADMISSION!
DRINKS & FUN TIMES!
...

........................
Excuse us while we get a little misty:
NICKELODEON was a network brave enough to broadcast bold, awesome, epic and irreverent programming that never trivialized the adolescent condition, ignoring the conventional rules of so-called "family entertainment."
* The Ren & Stimpy Show
* The Adventures of Pete & Pete
* Rocko's Modern Life
* Salute Your Shorts
* Doug
* Double Dare
* You Can't Do That on Television
* Ahh! Real Monsters
* Rugrats
* Are You Afraid of the Dark?
* Hey Dude!
* Hey Arnold
* Spongebob Squarepants...
...and the list flows on, but you get the picture.
NICKELODEON has had a lasting cultural influence, far deeper than any other cable channel can claim.
So join us for "It's the shizNICK," where OVER 60 ARTISTS will pay homage to the good ol' days of the network that ruled our youth.
There'll be paintings, prints, sculptures, plush - featuring your favorite characters, places and things that helped to shape your pre-pubescent brain.
And perhaps some surprises, too..."
